Cookie Policy

Last updated: July 31, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains which cookies BookingsPlace ("we", "us", or "our") stores on your device, what each one is for, how long it lasts, and how you can control them. It covers our website and our administration panel.

1. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store and send back on later visits. Cookies are what let a site recognise you between one page and the next — without them, signing in would not survive a single click.

2. The cookies we set

We keep this deliberately short. Every cookie below is set by BookingsPlace on our own domains, and each one exists because the site cannot do its job without it or because it remembers a choice you made.

Cookie Purpose Lasts
bp_session Keeps you signed in. It holds the token that authorises your requests, and is set only after you sign in. It is marked HttpOnly, so scripts running in your browser — ours or anyone else's — cannot read it. Up to 30 days if you tick "Remember me"; otherwise it is deleted when you close your browser.
NEXT_LOCALE Remembers whether you chose English or Arabic, so the site opens in your language instead of guessing again on every visit. Up to 1 year.
laravel-session, XSRF-TOKEN Used only by our staff administration panel at /admin. They maintain a signed-in staff session and protect submitted forms against cross-site request forgery. They are not set for visitors browsing or booking. The browser session, up to 2 hours of inactivity.

3. What we do not use

We do not set advertising cookies, we do not run third-party analytics or tracking scripts, and we do not build advertising profiles or share cookie data with ad networks. Nothing we set follows you to other websites.

4. Cookies set by others

If you pay for a booking through an external payment provider, that provider may set its own cookies on its own pages to process the payment securely and detect fraud. Those cookies are governed by that provider's privacy and cookie policies, not this one. Images and other media are served from our content delivery network, which does not set cookies.

5. Your choices

Because the cookies above are either strictly necessary or a preference you set yourself, there is no advertising consent for us to ask for. You can still remove or block cookies at any time through your browser settings — every major browser lets you view stored cookies, delete them individually, and block them per site.

What happens if you block them: blocking bp_session means you will not be able to stay signed in, so booking, wishlists, and your account pages will not work. Blocking NEXT_LOCALE simply means the site will fall back to detecting your language on each visit.

Signing out clears your session cookie immediately. Clearing your browser's cookies for this site removes all of the above.

6. Changes to this policy

If we start using cookies for anything beyond what is described here — analytics, for example — we will update this page and change the date at the top before those cookies are set.
